Description: Old France provinces: Orléans, Perche (former province of northwestern France) Le Mans, Anjou (a former French county, duchy, and province) Touraine and Berry.
Most of the old province of France were replaced by departments on 4 March 1790.
The map is copperplate engraved with coloring in outline and a decorative title cartouche.
The 1743 Le Rouge plates were acquired by Crepy, who re-issued them in Paris, often putting his imprint & the date 1767 in the cartouche/ title area.
