Title: Tabula Asiae VII.
16th century ancient map of Central Asia showing the countries between de Caspian sea and Persian Gulf, and what is now Iran, Kazakstan, Turkmenistan, Pakistan and India.
The map first appeared in the 1561 edition of Ruscelli's edition of Ptolemy's Geografia.The present example is the scarce third state of hte map, which adds the sailing ship.
