Title: Baye de la Possession dans L’Isle de la Georgie Australe.

Captain James Cook circumnavigated the island in 1775 and made the first landing.  Cook claimed the territory for the Kingdom of Great Britain, and named it "the Isle of Georgia" in honour of King George III.

This is a original engraving from the voyages of James Cook from the time as listed, not a later 1800 edition.
